MEASURES - BALLOT ARGUMENTS

The City Council, initiative proponents, and/or a combination of qualified individuals may file ballot arguments associated with measures called to the November 2, 2010 ballot (above). For instructions on the preparation of ballot arguments, refer to the following guidelines.

NOVEMBER 2, 2010 GENERAL ELECTION - VOTERS

Last Day to Register for the November General is October 18, 2010. Need to register to vote or not sure if you are registered? Click here to go to the Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections web page.

FUTURE ELECTIONS - PROPOSED MEASURES

Initiative Ordinance: Youth Jobs and Opportunity Act (view document)

Notice of Intent and proposed ordinance language for this initiative was filed on December 22, 2009. City Attorney's Ballot Title and Summary (view document). The petition was filed with the City Clerk's Office on June 15, 2010. The initial signature validation process was inconclusive; therefore, pursuant to California Elections Code a full signature count will be performed.

Pending-Initiative Charter Amendment: Government Accountability & Charter Reform Measure of 2009 (Strong Mayor) (view document). This initiative is in a pending status while under judicial review.
